All basic training is provided as part of membership by any one of the five BSAC  qualified instructors within the branch.  Basic training entails:-

• 5 pool lessons
• 7  theory lessons
• A multiple choice theory assessment
• 5 open water dives.

Equipment for pool training is provided by the branch e.g. diving mask, snorkel, fins and SCUBA (air cylinder, demand valve and buoyancy compensator).

The branch own 8 SCUBA sets.

Equipment for open water dives can be hired from the branch e.g. drysuit, SCUBA, weight belt etc.

The branch own 2 drysuits for use on open water dives. Unfortunately if neither of these fit you, you will either have to buy your own or hire one from a local dive shop.
